Michael A. Kurey has been admitted to practice law in three states; California, Colorado and Florida. He completed law school in San Diego, California, and after living in Southern California for five years, has made Volusia County his home with his family since 1994. As a Floridian, he graduated from Florida State University in 1986 in Tallahassee, FL and Palmetto High School on the west coast of Florida in 1982. At 17 years old he became a pilot in Lake Wales, FL. Presently he flies through postures and poses at Yoga Bala, his wife Karrie’s yoga studio located in Port Orange, FL.
Past legal career highlights include working at Steven H. Wilhelm A.P.C., a business litigation firm in San Diego, CA; working at the Florida Department of Children and Families, in the Children’s Legal Services Department; and working as a criminal defense attorney with the Office of the Public Defender as DeLand Division Chief for the Honorable James Purdy.
